Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Path Catalog Health (“the app”), a Shopify app operated by Outsource Experts Ltd, trading as Path, with a registered address at Enterprise Centre, 6 David Lane, Nottingham, NG6 0JU. By installing or using the app, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not install or use the app.

The service

Path Catalog Health audits your Shopify product images with AI across six areas, scores your catalog’s health, and helps you resolve issues in two ways:

• Smart fixes — structural changes such as variant-to-image mapping, gallery order, duplicate removal, and alt text, which you can apply per product or in bulk. Fixes are written to your Shopify catalog only when you approve them.
• Professional edits — human retouching and quality work fulfilled by Path Edits, ordered from within the app and published to your store once you approve the results.

Eligibility and your Shopify account

To use the app you must have an active Shopify store and the authority to install apps and make changes to it. You are responsible for keeping your Shopify account credentials secure and for all activity that occurs under your account.

Your responsibilities

• You must own or hold the necessary rights and licences to all product images and content the app processes on your behalf.
• You are responsible for reviewing recommendations and changes before publishing them to your storefront.
• You agree not to misuse the app, interfere with its operation, or use it in breach of Shopify’s terms or applicable law.

Automated fixes

Nothing in your catalog changes until you apply a fix. Smart fixes are standard Shopify product edits, so you can review, adjust, or revert them at any time from the app or your Shopify admin. You remain responsible for the final content published to your store.

Professional editing orders

Professional edits are provided by Path Edits. The price is charged per image and the total is shown before you confirm an order. Edited images are typically delivered within 24 hours; you review them in the app, approve the ones you want, and approved images publish to your Shopify store. Delivery times are targets rather than guarantees, and any revision terms are those presented at the time of the order.

Plans, fees, and billing

The app offers a free preview plan alongside paid subscription plans and per-image professional edits. Subscription fees and usage charges are billed through Shopify’s billing system on the terms shown at the time of purchase, and appear on your regular Shopify invoice. Except where required by law, fees are non-refundable. We may change our pricing from time to time; changes will not affect a billing period already in progress.

AI-generated output

Audit findings, recommendations, and generated content such as alt text are produced with the assistance of AI and are provided for your review. We do not warrant that they are complete, accurate, or suitable for a particular purpose, and you are responsible for reviewing them before relying on or publishing them.

Intellectual property

You retain all rights to your product images and content. You grant us and our service providers a limited licence to process that content only as needed to deliver the app’s features. We and our licensors retain all rights in the app itself, including its software, design, and branding.

Third-party services

The app relies on Shopify and other service providers to function. Your use of those services is subject to their own terms, and we are not responsible for their acts or omissions.

Disclaimer of warranties

The app is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will increase your sales.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Outsource Experts Ltd is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the app. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Outsource Experts Ltd from claims, losses, and expenses arising from your breach of these terms or your misuse of the app, including any claim that content you provided infringes the rights of a third party.

Suspension and termination

You may stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it from your Shopify store. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these terms or if we are required to do so by law. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will continue to apply.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “last updated” date above. Continuing to use the app after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
